I have been photographing weddings, families, and couples for the past 8 years. It all started when I felt this overwhelming desire to chase some creative nudge when I first became a stay-at-home mom.

It turned into so much more the day my father brought out an old Haines box (like really old) and in it was a hundred years of photos. My ancestors inked on stained paper. You see, the farm I was raised on was homesteaded by my father's family in the late 1800s and each photo my dad could point to where it was taken, right there on the very land I was raised. I felt a deep connection that day. Not only for the land, but also the very people in those images. My blood.

This is why I always suggest capturing your photos on your farm, family land, or somewhere truly meaningful. It is also why I believe wholeheartedly in developing a deep friendship with my clients. Any photographer can take beautiful images but I believe in your story more than that. I want these images to be the raw representation of your beautiful life, capturing you for exactly who you are. No fake poses or awkward smiles. Just meaningful moments to be remember for a lifetime.
