Ryan and Tara decided to celebrate their love a little different than most. They began their wedding day as a family in their home and invited friends over to begin getting ready. I arrived after lunch where Tara and Ryan were getting ready while guests were gathered watching sports in their living room. We took just a few photos across the road in a small grove of trees before heading out to his family’s farm where they were to host their ceremony and reception. They asked friends and family to wait in another room, wanting only parents and grandparents present, as they said their vows. After the short ten minute ceremony, their guests gathered in the shop for the big party. They had a wonderful meal and great music for their Friday night shindig and I absolutely loved being apart of it.

If you have ever considered or dreamed about having a wedding completely different than the “traditional” way, I hope this posts and their wedding encourages you to do what feels right. There is not only one way to host a wedding and I speak from experience, do it how you dream or you may eventually regret it.
