When I first started photography less than a year ago, I never considered becoming an adventure photographer. To be honest, I didn’t even know it was a thing but it didn’t take me long to realize how much I loved photographing real love in wild, adventurous places. You see, there is something about taking a couple to a beautiful new landscape and watching them as they are instantly drawn to one another. They often become much more relaxed and really enjoy themselves (maybe that’s the vacation part or just being away from their busy lives).
When I say I am an adventure photographer, I don’t just mean big fancy landscapes either. Sometimes adventure may be a prairie pasture with a stunning sunset or a quiet evening at the lake (check out Lake Side Lovers). You don’t have to be on a big get-away vacation, though they are always worth it. My photography adventures with my couples are never boring though. Be ready to laugh, love, and ALWAYS dance…even if it’s in the middle of a road! 😉
So if you are planning a trip to a familiar place or traveling to some unknown location, consider taking an evening to document your time together even if you are a couple with kids. I find the experience is always more than getting pretty pictures to share. I’m often told my sessions are so fun, they really focus on your love and helping couples to reconnect again. If you need some more inspiration, check out some places I love or want to visit here . For now, check out some dear friends I photographed near Terry Peak.

Would you believe me if I told you I didn’t even have music playing for this. If you know Kyle, he’s a hell of a fun guy! 😉
